Fort Hamer Bridge
It is time to speak up for something that should be very important to you.
Connecting the Parrish area with the Ft. Hamer Bridge to the Lakewood Ranch Area, hospital, schools, businesses, and shopping.
For some time now a small but very vocal group of residents south of the river, who acknowledged there would be a bridge when they purchased, have been successful in delaying this very important road improvement project and costing Manatee County taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional unneeded studies.
Some of the most important reasons for the Ft. Hamer Bridge:
SHOW YOUR SUPPORT for the Fort Hamer Bridge
Sign the "BUILD THE BRIDGE NOW!" Petition.
Show your support. Please sign our petition and make your voice heard by contacting your county commissioners and the USCG.
Even though Manatee County commissioners have already approved this project an immediate USCG approval is critical.
Sincerely,
The For Our Bridge Committee

Insure that the $3,500,000 plus Manatee County has already spent on this project is not wasted.
Will create over 400 local jobs.
Project is already fully funded with developer impact fees that are required to be used on NEW road construction.
Two lane minimal impact design with traffic control.
